S.W.A.T. Teams From Around The World Gather In Central Arkansas

Two dozen S.W.A.T. Teams from across the country and the world are gathering in Central Arkansas this week. It is all part of the original S.W.A.T World Challenge, which kicked off Monday at the Statehouse Convention Center.

The four-day event features education seminars, panel discussions, a trade show and competitions between the teams.

(Sgt. Terry Hastings, LRPD) "This gives S.W.A.T. Teams the opportunity to network, work together and learn the problems they face in their cities and help S.W.A.T. Teams throughout the world as they deal with these high risk situations."

The challenge has been established to provide an annual world-level conference for law enforcement solely focused on the needs of the S.W.A.T. community.
