Security Guard Shoots Himself in the Buttocks
A Glendale man accidentally shot himself in the buttocks Sunday evening as he prepared to work, police said.
The 37-year-old, who works as a security guard, was readying to leave his home in the 4800 block of West Las Palmaritas Drive, said Detective Tara Simonson, a Glendale Police Spokeswoman.
When the man placed his gun in a holster in the small of his back, the gun unintentionally fired.
The Glendale man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Simonson said.
No others were hurt.

Usually people that work security or law enforcement jobs have to worry about getting their asses shot off when they actually get to work.

Sometimes those small of the back holsters are a real pain in the ass. Butt, sometimes they're not.

If he had placed his holster prefectly in the middle of his back, the round possibly would have just traveled south on his verticle smile and missed the meat portion of his rear end............

A real off-duty Deputy did that in Wal-Mart somewhere around here a few years ago.
They said that he had stuffed it in the small of his back without a holster (not sure if it had a metal clip on it or not, they didn't say).
He felt the gun and his pants falling or shifting while walking down the isle in Wal-Mart, and instinctively grabbed it and his pants. Unfortunately, he either grabbed the trigger or it snagged on his pants.

I'm just thinking that he's going to be one security guard that won't be caught sitting on his ass anytime soon.
