Couple Had Sex in Cop Car: Witness
DARWIN, Australia - Arrested, drunk and together in the back of a police wagon: the perfect setting for love.
A motorist says she saw a couple having intimate relations while an oblivious policeman drove them through traffic, according to Australia's Northern Territory News.
The unnamed couple was under arrest for public drunkenness and was being taken to jail.
"It was a red light and I had to sit behind the paddy wagon for a few minutes," said 18-year-old Hannah Walker. "I couldn't believe it when I saw them just going for it."
She said she saw a man lying on top of a woman, and although their clothes were on, she could tell by their movements what they were doing.
Police did not confirm everything Walker saw, but admitted officers in the front of the wagon can't see everything happening in the back.
Senior Sgt. Daniel Shean has launched an investigation with the officers involved.
"They said they did see the couple kissing but did not see any nudity or anything to indicate they were having sex," he said.
