Black-belt German tourist gives Aussie attacker the chop
Published: 26 Oct 09 08:56 CET
A black-belt German tourist gave her Australian attacker the chop – and a karate kick to the head – after being assaulted in the Outback town of Alice Springs, police said on Monday.
The 20-year-old hit back hard when the unknown assailant punched her for not handing over a cigarette, forcing him to flee.
"When she said no, he got upset and lashed out at her – and she lashed right back," a police spokeswoman told AFP.
"She punched him three times in the face with a karate punch and kicked him with a karate kick. She did pretty well – not that we're encouraging that sort of thing."
The woman, who has been practising karate for 10 years, was not available for comment after Saturday's incident in the centre of Alice Springs, gateway town to Uluru or Ayers Rock.Do not war for peace. If you must war, war for justice. For without justice there is no peace. -me

See , cigarettes are bad for your health.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

The six o'clock ruleI tell them to act according to the six o'clock rule, a phrase that causes most of them to say, "Huh?"
I tell them to use this little test before they decide to do something. If they were to do what they're thinking about, and it became the lead story on the six o'clock news, would they be proud? Would their department be proud, and would their family be proud? It's a simple way to live your life both personally and professionally.

"She did pretty well – not that we're encouraging that sort of thing." I wonder if this was said with a wink and a nudge to the guy beside him?
