Drunk driver gets lost so he stops and asks the nice police officers for directions
A driver pulled into a parking lot in Bellmore yesterday, got out of his car, staggered up to two police officers and, in slurred speech, might have been asking them for directions, Nassau police said.
They were able to help him get to where they thought he should go - directly to jail.
The parking lot on Newbridge Road that Joseph Hores, 43, pulled into was in front of the Nassau County Police Highway Patrol building. Hores, of Old Oak Lane, Levittown, staggered up to two lieutenants on their way in to work to ask directions.
Hores was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.
