1 killed, 11 arrested in FBI raids in Dearborn, Detroit

The FBI arrested 11 people and one person was shot and killed after raids at at least two locations today a trucking business in Dearborn and a home in Detroit. Agents are being tight-lipped on what transpired.


Three of the suspects are expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Detroit today.

Detroit FBI spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold said charges against the suspects include conspiracy, receipt of stolen goods, providing firearms to felons and changing vehicle identification numbers.



One person was shot and killed and a FBI dog was shot and killed during the raids, Berchtold said.



Sources confirmed that agents raided a trucking business at Michigan Avenue and Miller Road in Dearborn and a home on Tireman in Detroit.


Detroit Police spokesman John Roach and Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad declined to comment. Both said the matter was being handled by FBI.
