Whizzinator leads to failed drug test, probation violation

A Trempealeau, Wis., man's failed attempt to trick his probation agent during a drug test could lead him to jail or prison.
Jason Theodore Syrmopoulos, 31, was convicted in 2004 of second-degree possession of cocaine and sentenced in 2005 to 15 years of probation. According to a probation report, Syrmopoulos was asked by his probation agent to give a urine sample earlier this year, and attempted to use a Whizzinator, a kit used to evade drug tests.
The agent confronted Syrmopoulos, who then admitted he had smoked marijuana, Thompson said.

The Whizzinator! Yet another national story that occurred at my department. For such an out-of-the-way place as the Minneapolis airport, we sure have been in the news a lot over the past few years:

The Whizzinator
Larry Craig
The Imams
Cab drivers refusing to transport passengers with alcohol or dogs
Pilots overshooting the airport
Tased bicyclist
Bodybuilder assaults officers

Frankly, it's getting annoying for all of us.
