"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Anybody wanna bet that they pull the death penalty off the table now?
And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.

There is talk that if the Military court does that, then Texas may prosecute him too - one civilian was killed, which means that they certainly have jurisdiction.
Hopefully under Texas law, the soldiers who were killed and wounded can be brought in to enhance the charge to Capital Murder instead of just Murder. I feel certain that they could do that.

I don't care how they do it, just that they do it expediently and with fervor. None of this appeals BS. Court-martial the SOB, carry out the sentence and be done with it.
Texas rules!!!
We can only hope.
He sure does.

Is it wrong that I smiled and my day got a little brighter when I saw this story? I still want the bastard to fry, but in the interim, there isn't anything better than him being paralyzed.

Of course there is. He can't walk to get his own meals so I propose:
Breakfast: Sausage biscuits
Lunch: Ham sandwiches
Dinner: Pork chops.
He will either "defile himself" against his religions wishes....or he will die a slow, horrible death from starvation. I'm ok with either one.Are you a 3%er? If you aren't, you should be.

Well, his mouth could be paralyzed and he could be fed from the menu above. But I digress, maybe he needs to taste all this great food that he has been missing.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Don't think so. It happened on the Military base, civilian authorities have no authority. It belongs to the Military and the Feds exclusively. Now, someone can sue in civil court without a problem. But Crimes on a Military Base belong exclusively to the Military and the Federal Government.
