No lights or siren, at night, while going through a flashing intersection at a high rate of speed, and not even enroute to a call?

I used to tell my trainees and other young people that I had a chance to mentor.....that there are mistakes for which you cannot afford to pay....from which you cannot recover.
I know they probably didn't mean to cause such harm....but they didn't think....and now they are going to pay with their careers and one with his freedom.
Car 4I would like my country back. I used to believe that one man could never destroy this country. Not so sure anymore!

I finally got to see the video, an email from our chief to everyone, saw it on my iphone, since my MDT won't play it......... He made it a point to advise everyone to watch this especially our younger officers. It does HAMMER home a point and like Car4 advised some things you cannot take back.Swamp Mafia

For tmes when I do have to speed I don't hesitate to use my lights and siren. Much rather have to tell why I did then why I didn't. This is an unfortunate example of how horsing around can get out of hand and fast. I'm sorry for the parents of the 2 kids that lost their lives.
