Officers catch babies dropped by tenants in apartment fire
Tenants on the second floor had to escape through their balconies. Pundsack said that he and other officers helped to catch babies that people dropped from those balconies."They were holding them by the arms. They were pretty frantic and pretty scared," he said. "At first, we thought they were going to drop them. We were yelling commands to them to just slow down, but they ended up dropping a couple. We were able to catch them, luckily."Everyone made it out of the fire safely. Firefighters said they were able to contain the fire to two apartments, but two adjacent units sustained smoke damage.

Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

I guess this is the one time people don't mind being caught by the police.

wow, thats a whole lot of pressure...
great jobin the warriors code there's no surrender, though his body says stop, his spirit cries...NEVER. deep in our souls, a quiet ember, knows its you against you, its the paradox that drives us all. its a battle of wills, in the heat of attack, its the passion that kills, and victory is yours alone.
the posts and opinions stated by me do not in any way reflect the values, beliefs, or views of my department. they are simply opinions and/or observations which have been developed through my personal experiences. hell, most of the stories probably arent even true...wink wink

You'd think the firefighters would have just slid their laz-y-boy recliners under the babies to catch them.
