I thought something was wrong with my Blackberry and spent two hours yesterday messing with it - NOW they tell us!!!

RIM confirms BlackBerry e-mail problems--again

For the second time in less than a week, BlackBerry smartphone users across the country and beyond are reporting problems accessing e-mail.

BlackBerry maker Research in Motion confirmed Tuesday night that some users of the smartphone in the Americas are experiencing delays in message delivery.

"Technical teams are actively working to resolve the issue for those impacted. RIM apologizes for any inconvenience experienced by customers," read an e-mailed statement from company spokesperson Jamie Ernst. Ernst declined to elaborate, however, on the cause or extent of the outage, and offered no estimated time of repair.

Of course, I guess no one depending on a Blackberry received the email

I didn't get the e-mail. BUT I couldn't access the I'net, weather channel - nothing last night.

I think it was an AT&T issue though, because I kept getting a "network problem" message.

Really was pi**ing me off since I just got my BB last Friday and couldn't play with it.

I stand corrected.

Just read on the AT&T forum that it was a RIM/BB nation-wide outage.

That was the first time I experienced that since I just got mine.

All of a sudden, I am NOT happy.

Hope this isn't a regular occurence.

Correct. Everyone around here on Verizon had data issues yesterday. Everything appears to be restored this morning.

This is probably the worst outage I've seen in the two years I've had Blackberry. I wouldn't sweat it.

I have Verizon as well and I thought it was just me, I was going to spend some time today playing around with it to see if I needed to download something. I'm still not used to using it.

I have Sprint and I had the same problem. BB messenger and internet was down until about 0300. Text and voice still worked. I think all works now though.

Well since we are talking about blackberries does anyone have problems sending mms picture message from verizon to AT&T or vice versa?

Yeah, I have a friend on AT&T and I can only occasionally send an mms message. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

PGG might be in one of those areas where Verizon doesn't have coverage. But then again Verizon says they have coverage there so maybe he wants to be the oddball and likes AT&T better.

Verizon has almost no coverage up here. Only in the center of the main town

I have the Storm 2 with Verizon. Even after reading about all these outages, I didn't notice any delay in getting my work and personal email. As it is, I average a couple dozen a day at a pretty steady rate, and I periodically log on to check both. No delay noticed.

Would you believe... My sprint BB email STILL isn't coming thru. The last email I got was Monday. I rebooted my BB several times, still nothing.

It'll either have me wanting to try one after awhile, or force RIM to step up their game.
