BRATTLEBORO (AP) -- Vermont State Police say a 911 call from a passenger in a car traveling the wrong way on Interstate 91 led to a drunken-driving charge against the operator.
Seventy-three-year-old Bradford L. Sargent, of Brattleboro, was charged Monday night after 911 dispatchers fielded calls from several people who had seen his car traveling north in the southbound lanes of the highway near Brattleboro.
Police say one of the calls was from a young woman passenger in the car, calling for help.
