Would-be robber loses gun to victims, gets shot

FLORENCE, Ala. -- A man was shot by two men he was apparently attempting to rob.
Police say a man with a bandanna covering his face approached two men sitting in their Florence carport listening to music just before 3 p.m. Saturday. The suspect pulled a .45-caliber pistol from his pocket and told the men to "give him everything they had."
Police say that one of the victims was able to wrestle the gun away from him.
As the suspect fled, the victim fired at him, hitting him once. The wounded suspect got into a silver car with two other people.
No arrests have been made but police have interviewed a man being treated for a gunshot wound.
