Florida deputies find 12-foot anaconda snake
I wonder of any of this anaconda's relatives live near Lewisipso....

Deputies in the Osceola mounted patrol unit were walking their horses over storm grates when they saw the dormant snake.
Officials at Reptile World Serpentarium in St. Cloud, where the snake was taken, confirmed it is an anaconda.

After reading the whole article, I have to ask - why does one need a permit to hunt a non-native species?? Seems that declaring year-round open season would be the smart thing.
