View full sizeEric Schultz / The Huntsville TimesParamedics rush someone out of the Shelby Center at UAH after a shooting this afternoon. HUNTSVILLE, AL -- Three people are dead and at least one person is injured in a shooting at UAH's Shelby Center this afternoon.
UAH spokesman Ray Garner said he doesn't have any details about the victims.

The news is saying now it was a faculty member that got turned down for tenure. All the victims were faculty members, no students involved. Three killed, three wounded.

A female active shooter- that's pretty rare; I can only think of two other ones. Strangely enough, the professor is allegedly very liberal and Havard-schooled (but I repeat myself...)

I think the tendency for us to call people active shooters during these sorts of homicides is getting a little broad.
