Hit-run victim takes up chase
Wow.
MIDDLETOWN – A hit-and-run vehicle accident on Saturday led to a chase, the victim ramming the other car three times and both drivers being charged, according to Middletown Police.Police said Christopher Mosier, 34, of Rising Sun, Ind. ran a stop sign with his Pontiac Grand Am at 4:04 p.m. at Manchester Avenue and Clark Street. He struck a Lincoln Town Car driven by Jack Gentry, 64, of Middletown.
Mosier fled the scene, and Gentry drove after him, first catching up to and ramming Mosier’s car in front of a fire station on Verity Parkway near Reinartz Boulevard. Mosier’s vehicle spun around twice and drove away again.
Both drivers ran a red light at Breiel Boulevard and Manchester Avenue. Gentry then ran into Mosier’s car again.
The chase ended when Gentry hit Mosier’s vehicle a final time in the 100 block of N. Breiel Boulevard. Mosier lost control of his car and hit a tree in the median.
The vehicle split into two sections. The front section entangled with the tree and caught fire, police said, and the passenger compartment continued down the road for 140 feet with Mosier restrained by his seat belt.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
