...here's their answer. This article about this lady's "defense" is so ridiculous...I honestly believe you have to sell your soul to Satan in order to defend someone like this.

Elliott, however, countered that Jacobson was sober as she drove to the airport, that the cab driver was actually at fault and that Jacobson did not know she'd been in an accident. He asserted that his client had downed a schnapps-laced Vitamin Water after arriving at DIA.

"That road bomb, the road pop, is what brings us here and what we have to deal with," he said.

Another article has the woman claiming that the bottle was leftover from the night before, and when she drank it, she didn't realize it was liquor. And that bottle somehow got her to five times the legal limit.

I hope she fries, and her lawyer can go with her.

Years ago there was a trial here of a guy accussed of killing a deputy. The suspect is indian. His lawyer told the jury that it was okay to kill the "white man" because they had been doing it for years to the indians and that LE was just an extension of that. The guy was acquited. He was later sent to prison for shooting up his sisters place with his neice and other family inside.

I would imagine her initial statement of "drinking couch medicine" will dash any hopes of using her schnaaps defense.

If the prosecution handles the case correctly, they should be able to open up some holes in their argument.

We get paid and are sworn to uphold Laws that some people do not agree with. We take an oath to do so.

Lawyers get paid to defend their clients, regardless of their personal feelings of guilt or innocence. They take an oath to do so.

What am I saying? Dumb fucks... is why I could NEVER be a Defense Attorney.
