by Chris Freiberg /FAIRBANKS - Two people were arrested Tuesday night after local and federal law enforcement observed a potential methamphetamine deal on Wembley Avenue.

U.S. Marshals and the Drug Enforcement Agency were casing the Sourdough Fuel parking lot after receiving information about a possible drug deal. Homan and McDaniel’s truck was pulled over after authorities saw a Nissan Xterra pull up next to them and engage in suspicious behavior, according to a criminal complaint filed in court.

Male agents at first did not find any drugs on McDaniel, but noted that one cup of her bra appeared to be deformed. A female officer from the University of Alaska Fairbanks police department was called to the scene, and the officer found a plastic container in McDaniel’s bra, which contained more than one gram of meth, according to the complaint.
