Man says he grew pot to pay attorney
GREENWOOD — A 41-year-old man told police that he was trying to pay legal costs related to a Missouri drug conviction by growing marijuana, according to a court affidavit.
Stephen Nicholas Petrocelli, of West Summit Road in Greenwood, was arrested on May 12 on a charge of probation violation. The District Attorney's Office added aggravated marijuana cultivation and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person after Agent Zane Loper of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency submitted a warrant in support of the charges on Tuesday.
Gerry Baril, supervisor of the MDEA's Western Maine District Task Force, said Petrocelli became a resident of Maine and transferred his probation conditions from Missouri. According to Loper's affidavit, Petrocelli was convicted of felony charges of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance on May 3 in Laclede County, Mo.

Where do these people come from?
The dumbass didn't learn the first time, so he goes and commits the same crimes in a different state? Plus firearm charges? To pay for attorney fees in his first state for relatively the same stuff? What an idiot!!! How about never growing the stuff to begin with?
Maybe this time he will get jail time.

How do you think most of the attorneys make money here

But then he'll have to pay an attorney to defend him against the pot-growing charges, and to do that he'll have to grow more pot, which means there will be more pot-growing charges, which would require hiring an attorney.....

Some attorneys are sleazeballs. They will defend anybody regardless if the client is presumably guilty or not, if they think they can get some money or notoriety out of the case.

Here is a WA pot lawyer link. Entertaining. It is amazing how people of high intellect lose their ambition to do anything other than justify MJ use. However there are some do it for a large fee.
