From : Police horse goes bar hopping through nightclub district
TAMPA - A Tampa Police officer was caught on tape walking his horse through a crowded Ybor City bar, and the police chief said she approves of it.
The 37 second video was posted on YouTube and shows a mounted police officer walking his horse through Habibi's Hookah Bar on 7th Avenue. A woman is heard screaming in surprise as the horse rounds a corner into her path.
Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor said, "It's good public relations." However, one business owner complained about the practice.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

The horse is likely more attractive than most of the patrons.

I would have guessed it was New Orleans during Mardi-Gras. The police horses are everywhere but I can't say I ever saw one in a bar.

I would be in heaven doing a mounted patrol. And yes, I would sport a hat.

Lucky the floor was strong enough to take the weight! It would be a hell of a job to get it out of the cellar.
And Five-O, it's really boring. I spent 3 years in the Mounted Branch and apart form the odd riot it was pretty dull.
Although I still smile when I remember the French President arriving by train at Victoria Station in London. There was a red carpet from the entrance to his car. Just has his train arrived, my horse took an enormous piss, which ran down the slope from us and soaked the red carpet! He walked along it smiling and waving to the crowds and didn't notice the piss squelching out round his shoes. Happy memories.
