"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

The funny thing is, liberals will point to this article and say, "see!" They'll believe it, too.

Al Gore can get back to me as soon as the scientists can figure out
1. if Global Warming is a cause or effect,
2. if the damage will really offset the benefits, and
3. which is "normal", the "little ice ages" or the hot spells in between.
There are benefits in Global Warming - For example, with a longer growing season, the Northern states and cold-climate countries might become as productive as California in food production. Plants in many areas will be more lush because they use the increased sun and CO2 as their source of energy. That will also help regulate CO2 as plants use more of it
What is REALLY dumb is the idea of pumping CO2 underground under high pressure to keep it from going into the atmosphere - What are nearby residents supposed to do if the underground containment develops cracks and blankets them in un-breathable CO2 for a few minutes, just long enough for everyone to die? There have been a few lakes that have killed whole villages and every nearby animal across the world, because they had trapped CO2 under some sediment that gave way, or in deep water containing a lot of CO2 that got stirred up..
