Tea Party Rally on 9-11
Full story at linkOrganizers say the events intended to call attention to what they describe as big government run amok and to recall the sense of national unity Americans felt the day after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Do you think that they should do this on the anniversary of 9-11?

Agreed, to a point. However I do believe that 9-11 should not be used to promote any agenda other than the rememberance of what happened, the people involved, and the people that are still suffering. It should be a day of AMERICAN unity, not any particular party or belief. And yes, I know that last sentence sounds naive and unrealistic.

You need an option for "Who cares? Don't like it? Don't go."

Since the key phrase in the poll is "should" they, I voted no.

If they want to evoke the sense of unity of the day after 9-11, then hold the rally the day after the anniversary of 9-11...?
Should they? I don't think so. Can they if they want? Of course. Whether you agree with their point of view or not, or whether you think any political statements should be made on 9-11 or not....if they aren't breaking any laws they have the right to have a rally. I mean most of us hate when the KKK holds a rally, on any day. But in this country, as long as they follow the rules/laws for rallies, they can hold them. I don't like it, but they have the right to do it.

I think the unity and singular sense of purpose we experienced following 9/11 could be used for worse purposes.
