Police Foil Suspected Armed Cash Van Heist
Suspected Cash Van Heist Is Foiled By Met Police In Ruislip, London | UK News | Sky News
Police foiled a suspected armed heist on a security cash van in a busy street by lying in wait and rugby-tackling two men to the ground.
Officers pounced as the suspects attempted to make off on a high-powered motorbike.
Shocked bystanders in Ruislip High Street, north-west London, watched as the pair were arrested and taken away for questioning before they got anywhere near their suspected target – a security van believed to be dropping off cash at a HSBC branch.
One eyewitness described seeing up to 20 police waiting in unmarked cars – including a number of firearms officers carrying machine guns and pistols.
He told Sky News Online: "It looked like the police had definitely had a tip-off."all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" Edmund Burke.
