A Cook County judge set bond at $30,000 bond Saturday for a Schaumburg man who authorities say struck a police car with the vehicle he was driving while drunk.

Rogelio Barron, 26, was charged with aggravated DUI following the incident which occurred about 4 a.m. Saturday in the 4400 block of Arbor Drive in Rolling Meadows.
Hearing the sound of cars striking each other, a Rolling Meadows police officer turned to see the defendant’s car pushing two vehicles, said Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Haley Peck during Barron’s bond hearing in Rolling Meadows.

The defendant’s car then struck the officer’s car and continued about 100 yards before stopping, Peck said.
