FLORIDA ĖA man and a woman were arrested after police found them passed out in a car while a 2-year-old boy played with a Methadone bottle inside.

Officers responded to a gas station in Port Charlotte at around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

In the parking lot, Charlotte County Sheriffs found a woman laying face down on the floor of a Volkswagen and a man behind the wheel. Both of them were passed out.

Officers say that there was a child sitting on the manís lap with a Methadone bottle.

The driver, 29-year-old Adin David Nicol, and passenger, 22-year-old Ashley Elizabeth Sangiovanni were unresponsive and did not appear to be breathing. Officers say they shook and yelled at them for some time but got no response.

When police opened the driverís side door, Nicol nearly fell and dropped the baby from his lap. The responding deputy quickly caught the baby before he hit the ground.
