39-year-old man lives with his mom in a house the size of a parking lot in Japan
More here: Ultra-small is beautiful for Japanese homeowner - CNN.comFuyuhito Moriya is 39 and still lives with his mother, but in circumstances you would call a tad unusual. Moriya, an unmarried man, and his mother, Yoko, live in a house that's built on 30 square meters, that's the same as the size of a parking space for one car.
They live in what's called an ultra-small house, a genre of single family homes bred of Japan's economic stagnation and brought to life by architectural ingenuity.

My first apartment was smaller than that. I actually like the idea but for $500K, I don't think they would sell here in the US. Wonder what something like that would sell for here? Also, what kind of rent could you get out of a small area such as that?
Ideas bouncing around in my head on what to do with that empty lot I own......
