2 Muskegon, Michigan Officers disciplined after accidentally shooting at each other
MUSKEGON -- Two officers are being disciplined for accidentally shooting at each other inside a Muskegon home.
Officers responded April 1 to the home in the 700 block of McLaughlin Avenue for a report of a possible kidnapping.
Three people were in the home’s basement when police burst through the front and rear doors.
Investigators say one of the officers thought he was in danger from somebody with a gun. The second officer returned fire in the direction of where that shot came from.
The Muskegon police chief says action has been taken against the officers involved, although he wouldn't reveal details because it is a personnel matter.

Remember who you are, and where you came from. That way you never get a big head.

The key here is they were shooting at each other. Thankfully, neither is in the officer down section.
