Surely you can't be serious
Actor Leslie Nielsen dies of complications from pneumonia – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs
RIP Leslie Nielsen.
A good cop - needlessly cut down by some cowardly hoodlums.
That's no way for a man to die.
No... you're right, Ed. A parachute not opening... that's a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine... having your nuts bit off by a Laplander, that's the way I wanna go!Verified Libra- There sure are a lot of people born in August around here.

I would like my country back. I used to believe that one man could never destroy this country. Not so sure anymore!

I doubt Leslie Nielsen would mind this obituary. Heck I wouldn't. One blogger's tribute to his life through his films. Makes more sense when reading it with the hyperlinks in the original post.
Leslie Nielsen, World-Renowned Detective and Vampire, Dead at 84
Leslie Nielsen, who made his name fighting crime and had a brief tenure as a Dracula, has died.
Nielsen, who was everything from an astronaut to vampire to President of the United States, lived a full and adventurous life that you’d think were the delusions of a schizophrenic if it weren’t for film documentation of his endeavors.
After materializing in our realm in 1950, Nielsen travelled the country as a love interest for various women and a private detective. In 1955 he made his first sojourn into space, breaking all the rules by exploring a planet that he was specificially told he should not explore.
Afterwards he travelled back in time and made a name for himself as Revolutionary War hero Francis Marion. Upon returning to the present day he once again traversed the country solving crimes, taking a brief break to pursue a hobby as a Sea Captain with disastrous results.
After a failed marriage, Nielsen became a Dracula.
Carrying guilt over his poor performance as a sea captain, he paid penance by going to Medical School and becoming a doctor, where he tended to sick crew and passengers that were stricken with food poisoning.
His love of police work then brought him back to the Los Angeles Police Department, where he thwarted an attempt by Khan Noonian Singh to kill Queen Elizabeth II of England using a hypnotized Reggie Jackson. This brought him the attention of Priscilla Presley, ex-wife of Elvis Presley and future mother-in-law of Nicolas Cage. They were briefly married.
Nielsen did not take the divorce well. He went into seclusion, fleeing mainstream society and becoming a Dracula.

Rest in peace , sir.
SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Doctors gave him a 50/50 chance of living, but there was only a 10% chance of that. He died in a big building full of patients, but that's not important right now.
