Lee County deputy finds marijuana, cocaine and $1,600 by following his nose
Fort Myers, Florida (News-Press) -- Lee County Sheriff's deputy Michael Ronga's nose knows the smell of burning marijuana.
Ronga was in his patrol car on Bonita Beach Road Thursday when he caught a whiff of a joint coming from a black four-door Nissan.
Inside the Nissan, which had all its windows rolled down was San Carlos Park resident Kiaaron Craig Burke-Reid.
As Burke-Reid's car rolled past Ronga's parked car, Ronga, who saw the driver and recognized him from a previous arrest, got out and yelled, "Stop the car."
Burke-Reid looked over, saw Ronga and muttered, "Oh (expletive)," according to the arrest report.
