PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh police arrested a man who they said is accused of threatening to use a hatchet on a neighbor in Carrick on Monday night.
The criminal complaint said police went to the apartment on Claus Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. after neighbors complained of loud music, Channel 4 Action News' Marcie Cipriani reported.
Jeffrey Runco, 43, refused to open his door, and he broke his neighbor's window with a hatchet and yelled, "I'm going to (expletive) kill you. I'm going to come in there and chop you up," according to the complaint.
Police said another neighbor came out of her apartment with a note that she claimed Runco left for her, which said "It's your fault I relapsed" and said he would pay her back for it, according to the complaint.
Police kicked Runco's door in, and they used a Taser on him after he lunged at them from inside a closet, the complaint said.
