Hackers warn Westboro Church: Stop now or else
A group of hacktivists acting under the banner, "Anonymous," has warned a church with a controversial history that unspoken retribution will follow it continues its practice of inflammatory protests.
In an open letter to the Westboro Baptist Church, Anonymous has put the anti-gay, fundamentalist church on notice that "the damage incurred will be irreversible," and that "neither your institution nor your congregation will ever be able to fully recover."

I normally disapprove of hackers. This time I find myself hoping they can pull off their bravado.

they protested here a few weeks ago...a girl died in an accident. When they were here the last time, that same girl was on the news when a reporter stuck a mic in her face and she said that Westboro should mind their own business. I gues they keep a giant master list of the people who do them wrong, so they decided to stop here and protest that girl's funeral on the way down to protest the Super Bowl. I'm pretty surprised there hasn't been a massive attack on them yet.

I doubt very much their business depends much on the internet.

While I don't immediately recognize the vector for attacking The Westboro Wackos I'm not a culture jammer or security expert. Some who claim to be the latter have been surprised recently by what they didn't think of. I'm curious what they'll come up with in this effort: never a more worthy target has Anonymous had.
Still I can't wish Anonymous well in this latest vigilante action. Even when I agree with the cause I can't endorse the tactics. So I'll make popcorn, watch their lawless behavior against the Wackos, and demand they stop immediately every now and then. Starting now...
Stop attacking those wackos right now or I'll tell you to stop again!
There. I think the message is clear.
