Schuylkill man hit by stun guns at police stop
A Schuylkill County pickup truck driver whom state police pulled over for allegedly weaving in and out of traffic Wednesday morning was shocked with troopers' stun guns when he confronted them, police said.
Michael Lucas, 56, of Wayne Township was westbound on Route 443, Pine Grove Township, at 8:10 a.m. when he was pulled over, state police at Schuylkill Haven said. When he was asked for his license and registration, he allegedly got out of his pickup and came after the troopers.
Troopers Alyssa Becker and Thomas Curtis again asked for Lucas' license and registration, and he turned back to the pickup, where the troopers noticed he had two loaded guns, police said. The officers stopped him to cut off his access to the guns, police said.
The troopers then used their stun guns and restrained Lucas, police said.
After Lucas mentioned he had other firearms at home, police obtained a search warrant and found 20 long guns and two handguns there, police said. Two of the long guns allegedly had altered serial numbers.

He got off easy. That could have permanently ended for him.

I happen to agree. There is a place for Taser's. Hopefully this was one of them and not a place for other use of force.

I'm not saying this was necessarily a "bad" TASER deployment. But the article states "they" used "their" stun guns on him. I hope, hope, hope to God that this is inaccurate, and one of them maintained lethal cover while the other tased his ass.
