DESTIN — A 23-year-old man was arrested March 14 and charged with battery of a law enforcement officer at Silver Beach Towers.
Dustin Thomas Wisdom, from Longview, Texas, was in the hot tub with several other people about 9:30 p.m., according to an arrest report from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
An officer warned the group about having alcohol near the water. When the officer returned to the hot tub about 10 minutes later, Wisdom allegedly said, "Look at him. He's just trying to be cool," according to the report.
When the officer approached him, he told him not to worry about what he had said.
The officer asked Wisdom to get out of the hot tub, according to the report.
When Wisdom got out the officer questioned him about what room he was staying in, according to the report.
Wisdom then allegedly grabbed the officer's arm and attempted to pull him towards the pool.
