A quick thinking woman saves herself from potentially becoming a victim.


The 23-year-old says Daniel Alberto Barros pulled up behind her Friday night, flashed red and blue lights and a badge at her and tried to get her to pull over.


She immediately called her stepfather, a real officer.

He met her and Barros at a Southwest Miami-Dade gas station, which propelled Barros to make a run for it.

He was arrested a short distance away and charged with impersonating an officer.

Investigators say the badge was real.

Barros' brother is a real officer.
