12 ga Taser
I wonder if you have to get shot with it like you do with the X12?? I for one will not try it.

Me neither. Its an interesting tool for sure. The one problem they've had is with getting the second probe set to connect. Once the round impacts, and the first set of probes connect, the round then splits in half basically. The probes on the bottom half were not making good connections. They say they've fixed it, but time will tell.
That and they're really expensive.The world would be much cleaner if blind people carried brooms instead of sticks.
At communion, when the priest says "Body of Christ", I say "Thanks, I've been working out", then I grab the cracker and run back to my seat

Taser was at my dept the other day and showed us their new Taser2 (dont remember the official name) it was cool. Our training Sgt. is trying to get us some of them. They also showed us some videos of how successful the Taser has been on bears in Alaska, keeping them from the dumps and such.

TASER has a wide variety of products. The newest one is the X2, which has a dual-cartridge configuration, allowing you a second chance if the first set of probes does not work.

Im kind of scratching my head with the X2. It came out AFTER ther X3, which gives three shots. However, the X3 had one problem. You could fire each cartridge individually, however, say two of the darted suspects comply, but the third still wants to fight, the X3 does not have the ability to only deliever a second charge to one cartridge. I don't know the mechanics of it, but any follow up charges to an already darted suspect sends a charge through all fired cartridges. Meaning either you have to go with plan B for the one still combative suspect, or the other two saps have to take another ride due to the one still combative one. Originally Posted by APB
