We're about to get wet...very wet
Looks like Bismarck is in for the worst flood since before the upstream dam was built over 60 years ago. More or less all of the low lying areas of south Bismarck will be flooded. Luckily, our house is on a high enough elevation, but thousands of people are about to lose their homes...

Great...it keeps getting worse. Upping release to 85,000 cfs Monday...then on June 9 it will go up to 105,000 cfs... later in June they're talking possibly 120,000 cfs. For reference... 85,000 meant 18ft. 16 ft is Bismarck flood stage...
I might try to get out of work Sunday-Tuesday (my last three days at this job anyways) and go sandbag. Autumn spent her day off yesterday sandbagging and then she got the call from work. Every officer in Bismarck will be working every day (or in her case, night) until further notice...Alpha Phi Sigma Alum - Alpha Delta Chapter

i work for the national park service in a park near bismarck and had some flood damage in the park here. we had to do some sand bagging here among other things due to the flood. been some tough work dealin with this flood
