I'm thinking there won't be a court case.

Interesting new information and comments on this case.
LINKAckerman police knew Bobby Fair, but never considered him dangerous, Police Chief Tanya Burton said.
"As far as any past dealings with him, he was always very courteous," Burton said. "The incident that led to this tragic ending, it was a shock to all of us."

ANYONE can be dangerous, regardless of how they have been perceived in the past. Everytime something like this happens I remember an officer that my dad worked with in the early 70s. He arrested the same "town drunk" numerous times, to the point that he would just drive up, open the back door, and tell him to get in. The last time he did it the drunk almost cut his throat from the back seat during transport. The officer came out with nothing more than a slight cut on his neck but I have remembered seeing that cut for years. That incident has been a big part of me never being lax with ANYONE I arrest, no matter how well known.*************************"It wouldn't take much for me to up and run...to another life somewhere in the sun."

Some of my officers lost a young offender who went out of a first floor window after they attended his mothers address, he apprently had always just been arrested before and come without a fuss.
