After asking a 7 year old for her bike and having his request refused, 32 year old Byron Syvinski punched the girl repeatedly in the head, even after she went unconscious. Shit bird stuck around long enough to resist arrest by the arriving officers, and is still being medically evaluated for unspecified injuries.

According to ADN, he was taken into 'protective custody' the day before and then released. Before assaulting the girl he took a backpack from another kid and punched the kid's dad in the face. If that was my kid he would have been assuming room temperature...
