Not only does she offend and piss off the entire country by being the shittiest mother in the country....now she's trying to sneak out of her misd. charges as well? Good luck.

Casey Anthony has filed a court document that says she will appeal her misdemeanor convictions of lying to law enforcement.
She filed the notice of appeal Friday in Florida.
Anthony was acquitted last week of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. However, she was found guilty of four counts of lying to police and sentenced to the maximum of four years in jail.

Yes, it would be. They can't try her for the same crime twice. They could charge her with something else though.

What's going to suck I bet is when she gets attacked somewhere they'll sue the PD for failure to protect or some BS since the PD should know she's a "high risk." In the public opinion polls I would say she's in a dead heat with Hitler at the moment.

We have a tidy little "Abuse of a Corpse" charge here that would apply. Didn't she admit to burying the child after its death, or giving the corpse to her dad to bury?

If I recall correctly she claimed to have given the body to her dad to dispose of.

We too have a statute relating to improperly handling corpses and death scenes

Subdivision 1.Concealing evidence.

Whoever interferes with the body or scene of death with intent to mislead the coroner or conceal evidence is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.

Subd. 6.Conveyances permitted for transportation.

A dead human body may be transported by means of private vehicle or private aircraft, provided that the body must be encased in an appropriate container, that meets the following standards:
(1) promotes respect for and preserves the dignity of the dead human body;

She should have been forced to provide her own "protection". After being released from custody she was on her own.

It has been reported that a plane near the gate at Orlando Executive Airport that arrived Saturday from the New York City area, revved up the engines just before a couple of police escorted cars arrived at the airport.
Police blocked off the entrance and kept people back behind police tape, as the passengers from the cars were headed to the airport entrance. However, the airplane didn't move. Instead a Leer jet heading to Columbus, Ohio departed just after 1 a.m. Sunday, though it remains unknown if Casey was on the plane. Since Anthony family is originally from Ohio, there is a comparatively higher probability of her heading to Ohio.
According to the journalists who were allowed inside the jail Sunday morning Casey didn't express any emotion nor was she dramatic about being freed after three years of serving in jail.

Believe that as all covered in the Judges Charges to the jury

Maybe some charge of desecrating/disposal of a corpse, or something like that.

We all know from this job there's no accounting for juries and court. This is where the system is designed to be skewed intentionally to allowing the guilty go free rather than accidentally convict the innocent. It just happens to be high profile because of the media. We've all dealt with it during our careers at least once, if not frequently.

Whether you believe in judgment after life or simple universal karma, the party who caused that child's death will pay dearly if not at our hands now.
