Man threatens police officers with python snake during arrest
Trenton man threatens police officers with python snake during arrest | NJ.comTRENTON A 42-year-old Trenton man threatened police officers with a python snake as he was being arrested Saturday night, police said.
James Pearson allegedly threw a wooden chair at three detectives who followed him inside a home, then wrestled with them after he was tackled to the ground.
The officers then see the snake he had in his hand and he was yelling it was venomous, said Sgt. Tom McDonough, a police spokesman.
Detective Wilfredo Delgado, however, had some knowledge of snakes and knew the python was not poisonous, McDonough said. Pearson was eventually subdued and taken into custody.

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

I'd be right there with Lew. A perfectly justified shooting. Of both the animal and the human. Of course I'd be telling my backup to bring more ammo.
