Don't believe all you read Jenna. Telescopic batons are illegal to sell in the UK.

I've been reading a lot about these riots. Isn't it a damn shame that if a victim (in GB) defends himself and injures the attacker, he , the victim can and would be charged with some type of assault. Isn't it a shame that defending oneself is a crime!

Quite within your rights to use reasonable force to defend yourself. Its only when the force used. Is deemed unreasonable that there could be a problem.
