Croydon PC's attacker sentenced to 12 years' imprisonment
more at linkA man has been sentenced to 12 years in jail at Kingston Crown Court after admitting stabbing a police officer in south London.
Alastair Gregson, 18, of Whitefield Avenue, Purley, will serve a minimum of six years for stabbing PC Nigel Albuery, 34, in Waddon in May.
The judge sentenced him to 10 years for gross bodily harm with intent.
He was also sentenced to a further two years to run consecutively for a separate offence.

Wow, they really threw the book at him. I'm shocked you guys have problems with crime and being assaulted. Sheesh.

no wonder Croydon was one of the trouble hot spots recently.
Someone has just been sentenced to four years for posting on facebook that they should go to their local shop and loot it(it never happened) maybe that judge should have been given the sentencing resposibility.
Then again the original assault recieved little publicity and no judiciary were being leant on to sentence heavily by the government at the time.the sole advantage of power is that you can do more good.
