Illinois state senator calls 911 and tells police to ignore her husband if he calls
More here: Suzi Schmidt: State Sen. Suzi Schmidt asked police to "ignore" husband's call - chicagotribune.comAfter quarreling with her husband and locking him out of their home last Christmas, state Sen. Suzi Schmidt called 911, identified herself as an elected official, asked police to "ignore" her husband if he called and said he feared her because she had "connections," according to newly released police reports and recordings of the call.
Amid a host of allegations — that the Republican senator rammed her car into her husband's during a subsequent row in August and then, just this week, bit him and struck him with a cellphone — the recordings raise the question of whether Schmidt was seeking to use her political clout to influence Lake County authorities.

I don’t see where there is much of a question that she tried to use her position when she called, if she identified her self then she was trying to use her position. On a different note, she seems like a peach of a wife...lol

Awesome. " Yes Hello , 911 , this is State Senator Suzi calling, if any of my neighbors call complaining of screeching tires or a lot of yelling and screaming just ignore it. Everything is under control. Tell the little policemen they don't have to leave the donut shop. By the way do you happen to have the phone number for the Randolph Funeral Home?"

"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.

Those type phone calls are not as rare as people would think and they are largely ignored.
