The 53%
There's a new movement afoot to counteract the "99%" movement. They call themselves the "53%" representing the 53% of taxpayers that pay the total amount of taxes in this country, paying for all of the social and welfare programs, and are tired of "the whiners that want a free ride." This is a quote from an article in the Blaze:
"Meet The 53%. Who are they? The term 53% refers to the people who are actually paying taxes for themselves and the rest of the country.
The 53% is a group of responsible young people organizing across the country. However, this group is not camping out in parks around the country and demanding the entire capitalist system be destroyed. These men and women have jobs (most of them work at more than one job in order to make ends meet), but they are talking about attending the Minneapolis Occupy Wall St. protest scheduled for today – Friday, October 7th."
So, are you a "99%er" or "53%er"? As for me, I'm a 53%.For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.
Winston Churchill

While the following quote apparently is misattributed to Alexander Tyler (the actual source is unknown), I still believe it to be true:
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess of the public treasury. From that time on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
The average age of the world's great civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; from complacency to apathy; from apathy to dependency; from dependency back again to bondage."If everyone is thinking alike, then someone isn't thinking." -Gen. George S. Patton

I be one also. I see these morons chanting about businesses shouldn't be allowed to make a profit. Where in the worlds history has a business that doesn't make a profit ever prospered? It's hard to believe that some one can be so ignorant, then I go to work and am reminded again that their are more morons around then us
