Boy, 13, among five teens detained for armed robberies
BBC News - Boy, 13, among five teens detained for armed robberies
An armed gang - the youngest aged 13 - who carried out four raids in a week on Merseyside have been detained.
Sentencing the five, Judge Mark Brown said their case "highlighted the scourge of gun crime... which permeates some parts of Liverpool".
Bradley Beveridge, 18, Declan Kilbride, 16, Declan Culshaw, 15, Dylan Currie, 14, and Jobe Kilbride, 13, all admitted armed robbery.
Their sentences at the city's crown court ranged from four to nine years.
In one raid at an All In One convenience store in Norris Green, Liverpool, Beveridge threatened a shopkeeper with a sawn-off shotgun while Jobe Kilbride vaulted the counter to steal from the till.
Currie also joined in, rifling through the till as Culshaw kept watch at the door."all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" Edmund Burke.
"the world is a dangerous place place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who do not do anything about it" Albert Einstein
