The discovery of another methamphetamine lab in a backpack has Cedar Rapids police questioning if there's a new trend in clandestine ways to make the illegal drug.

A backpack was found Tuesday behind a washing machine in a laundry room at an apartment building. Management discovered it during an inspection and called police.
In both instances, police said the "one-pot method" -- in which chemicals are combined in a single container, often a 2-liter bottle -- was used to brew the drug.
