Another cop getting stuck in when most of the population would just stand and watch or run the other way

From the description of the officer 18 year veteran working in the Bronx he sounds like a triple hard bastard probably not what the maggot who punch cabin crew was expecting to deal with that day

I always advise the flight attendants when I board a plane that I'm a police officer and where I'll be sitting if they need anything during the flight.

They wouldn't get through security here if you are off duty travelling.
However I think all planes carry plasticuffs now, but I may be wrong.the sole advantage of power is that you can do more good.

Tuff-ties. I generally carry them when I'm flying and often when I'm off-duty. They'll pass anything but a thorough pat down, where someone actually pulls 'em out and exams them.
But... in this particular case:
Mercado told Ynoa that he was a police officer, then wrestled him to the ground and restrained him with a pair of plastic handcuffs stored on the aircraft, police said.Voting against incumbents until we get a Congress that does its job.

I just checked with the SGT at Myrtle Beach airport and he told me no handcuffs can be brought onboard. The flight attendants do have tuff-ties onboard. I always wondered about bringing my own handcuffs with me when I travelled. Now I know.
