long overdue
The resultant of "may issue" instead of "shall issue". Those agency heads use "liability" in their arguments not to issue. "Liability has been the standard answer for doing nothing. Seems like the lawsuit is the long overdue way to go to get their attention.
A relative in Calif has been trying to get a ccw permit for years, when a representative of the Sheriff will finally speak, they change the rules again. There is no time line to send the records to CA DOJ, 30 days applies when the return is back from Sacramento on the CCW applicant. CCW applications can get lost for years.
This is something the CA Legislature needs to fix, so they did it with more class conflict "in your face" They exempted themselves from the "good cause" requirement."" How do you like that for representation ???

I think ultimately the people of California will have to politic for better gun laws...I think way too many are probably carrying illegally rather than doing something about changing the laws.
