BBC News - Police watchdog probes head injury arrest in Hanwell
The police watchdog is to investigate how a 56-year-old man sustained critical head injuries while he was being arrested in west London.
A police officer received minor stab wounds during the incident in Hanwell.
Two PCs had been called to reports of a man shouting through the night and were attacked after they went into a house in Cowper Road, police said."all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" Edmund Burke.

Perhaps the arresting officers received only minor stab wounds because their attacker sustained critical head injuries.
