Belguim 'Suicide' Crash: Eight Police Motorcyle Escorts Hurt Outside Royal Palace In Laeken | World News | Sky News
Eight Belgian police motorcycle escorts have been injured after a car ploughed into them outside the royal palace in what officials say was a suicide attempt.
The officers were waiting to escort the Qatari ambassador from the palace in Laeken when the car drove into them, a palace official said.
The envoy was meeting King Albert II inside the building at the time.
Police spokesman Christian De Coninck said the unidentified driver, who has been detained, told officials he wanted to commit suicide.
Officials said eight officers were injured, five of them seriously. One is reported to be in a critical condition."all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" Edmund Burke.

Thoughts and good wishes to the officers involved.
No thoughts to the selfish lunatic who can't do the job quietly and efficently.the sole advantage of power is that you can do more good.

SI VIS PACEM PARA BELLUM-Ex-Sheriff Martin Howe to Will Kane in "High Noon"
"It's a great life. You risk your skin catching killers and the juries turn them loose so they can come back and shoot at you again. If your honest , your poor your whole life. And , In the end , you wind up dying all alone on some dirty street. For what? For nothing. For a tin star."
Far from being a handicap to command, compassion is the measure of it. For unless one values the lives of his soldiers and is tormented by their ordeals , he is unfit to command.
